ISTIKLAL is a rocket designed by Pars Rocket Group with a solid fuel engine and equipped with a scientific payload.
ISTIKLAL uses the Cesaroni Pro75 5880M1160-P solid propellant engine. Its maximum speed is 0.83 Mach and the rocket is designed to reach an altitude of 10,000 feet.
The rocket is designed to carry a 4.5 kg payload. This payload includes an egg, which must remain intact after the rocket lands.
The rocket bodies were manufactured using state-of-the-art filament winding technology. The nose cone has a Von Karman profile.
The rocket includes a total of 4 parachutes: a payload parachute, a separate parachute for the nose cone, a drag parachute, and a main parachute. The main parachute reduces the rocket's descent speed to 8.41 m/s.
The descent speed of the payload is calculated to be 7.68 m/s.
During flight, data such as temperature, pressure, altitude, 3-axis acceleration, and position are transmitted simultaneously to the ground station. These data are also stored within the payload.
The main parachute is deployed at an altitude of 450 m.
